Or the Vikings. 

It did not begin
With European Conquest
Slavery, Wars of Empire
Or Henry Ford. 

Our Continent
Was Peopled long, long ago
With Travelers from the East
Not the West.

They are still Here.
Their History
Is Ours:
Before And Ever After.
